On Habré they write a lot about the organization of their working time, about increasing labor productivity, and how to finally get to work. But where to take willpower?
The last post on Habré gave me an idea that has long matured in my head.
So, a simple way to reduce (at least reduce) the time spent reading Habr, a live journal, rss tapes, etc.
It's very simple - do not read comments.
')
In fact, the time for reading the post itself is often 10% of the time for reading comments on this post.
I noticed that even in an interesting topic, in the comments no more than 10% of useful information for me, or even less.
Reading comments is not effective. Thus, digging through tons of information is really only a small part of it. With a total lack of time, it is pointless to spend it on comments: during this same time, you can read several new topics, in which there is an order of magnitude more useful information, and maybe even work. :-)
The second point is that it is much easier to refuse to read comments than to read any
interesting resource .
