LiveInternet goes beyond its borders.

On the site 2B-Finam , in the section "Rumors" a message was published that, perhaps, the RuNet would soon be in for a big deal. “According to our source, German Klimenko, the owner of the well-known statistics service LiveInternet (formerly Rax.Ru), has been negotiating with Western investors for several months about the sale of a stake in a project,” the article says. This information is indirectly confirmed by LiveInternet management plans in the near future to launch services in Chinese and Spanish.

Habrahabr asked German Klimenko questions about the deal and new services.

According to the owner of LiveInternet, in one form or another a variety of negotiations on cooperation, sale or co-ownership are conducted by all the major resources that occupy leading positions in their niches. “We are certainly not an exception,” said Herman, “since the statistics and blog services in their niches look more than worthy. Since the beginning of this year, the intensity of negotiations has increased significantly. Foreign investors are showing interest in the statistics service, which is understandable - the service is quite easily and fully functional adapted. ”

According to Rumors, “negotiations are most likely being conducted with Yahoo , as well as with individual Russian companies (possibly with Rambler ). Of course, Google can also be viewed as a potential buyer, as it shows great interest in such assets, but Klimenko has publicly denied that he has any relations with this company. ”

Information about the upcoming appearance of new services LiveInternet Herman confirmed: “It is planned to launch several services abroad. At the moment, services are being translated into Chinese and Spanish. ” According to him, how they will find hosting, they will launch services in other language zones.

When asked about the meaning of the initiative to move to the West, H. Klimenko answered: “Launching a statistics service, for example in Poland, requires only one server to be rented. It is very interesting for me to check how the solution demanded in Russia is acceptable for webmasters of other countries. ” He estimates the probability of such an event as quite high.
