Information warfare

In the light of recent events (the direction of the flow of users of one large resource to another) - what do you think about the perspectives of this kind of information wars (and this is its kind)? There are already quite a few projects with a million attendance on the global Internet - what will happen if they start under various pretexts (and the specified preddent is quite successful) to put such hidden (or maybe not hidden) references to undesirable from its muzzle. What happens if a similar link is put for example one of the largest search engines on the main page?

PS I think technologies like this will (or already) be applied during real wars by the special services of the participating countries. Do they now have such official rights?
