Intel puts the air barrier on laptops

Intel has demonstrated a new technology for cooling ultra-thin notebooks at the IDF forum. Unlike all existing technologies, this is aimed not so much at cooling the internal components of the device, as at cooling the case. To keep him comfortable on his knees and he did not seem hot.

According to engineers, this problem is becoming more and more urgent, because as the laptops miniaturize, the cases heat up more.

The new Intel technology works on the principle of air turbine. As you know, in the very center of the turbine, the temperature can reach thousands of degrees, but its body remains cold outside due to the air barrier. Similarly, Intel is going to make a barrier out of the air flow between the electronic components of the laptop and its case.

Intel offers manufacturers of ultra-thin laptops, including Apple, to license this technology for their devices.
