Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) has introduced a P-to-P (p2p) transfer system within the network. Having resorted to the service “True Friend”, you can transfer a small sum of money to the account of any MTS subscriber.
The public offer
contains important explanations regarding the new product. According to one of them, the transfer recipient does not have the right to demand money from the company, as such - MTS only undertakes to
provide communication services commensurate with the amount of the transfer made.
The volume of p2p cannot exceed $ 10 in rubles at the internal exchange rate of MTS on the date of payment. At the same time, the balance of funds on the personal account of the donor subscriber (donor = transferring) must be at least $ 3 after the transfer is completed.
')
The service is available to MTS subscribers in Moscow, Moscow, Vladimir, Ivanovo, Kaluga, Kostroma, Ryazan, Smolensk, Tambov, Tver, Tula and Yaroslavl regions. The rules for using the new service
can be found on the company's website.
According to Alexey Basov, CEO of
MoneyMail , the course taken by MTS has prospects: “Mobile operators are eyeing the electronic payment market, and I have no doubt that over time MTS will take steps to increase the liquidity of its payment product. For example, he will make it possible to pay a large range of third-party services with this money. ”
“However, the main business of mobile operators requires the accumulation of credit funds at the expense of customers,” says Alexey. - This imposes logical restrictions on a number of attributes of a full-fledged payment system. First of all - the withdrawal of funds and a competitive commission for stores. I am sure that operators will increase payment instruments, however, they will never be a real competition to payment systems. The latter, as specialized businesses, will always have obvious advantages over solutions that are only related services. ”
Alexey Basov said that in the system of
Money@Mail.Ru (works on the basis of MoneyMail, -
approx. Editorial ) a similar mechanism works - only in the case of this payment system, the user sends money by e-mail. “If MTS still operates with prepaid services - minutes, SMS, content, then Money Mail.Ru transfers monetary obligations between users. They can buy a product or service, or withdraw from the system. "
“Transfers between users are a large and fast-growing segment in the revenue structure of our payment system,” summarizes Alexey. According to him, the need for fast electronic p2p-transfer today is very high.
Peter Darakhvelidze, director of external relations for
WebMoney Transfer , believes that the new service from MTS will be in demand. “And it is of interest both for ordinary users and for sellers of various electronic content: records on the personal account of MTS with 50 million users is quite a liquid instrument, almost quasi-money,” says Peter. - An important point for sellers here is the policy of "recall" of these payments. It is no secret that attackers immediately begin to use the holes in the billing system: for example, the lack of online control over the account in roaming. I suspect that the recipients of the “left-wing” transfers will be extreme. Although, if you consider that when you sell content for premium SMS, you give the cellular operator from 30% to 50%, and you don’t give anything as part of the new service, it will still be popular. ”
