The number of different models of netbooks is increasing every day and the IDC analytical group conducted a study to determine how portable solutions are sold outside the US: in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
So, according to the results of the 3rd quarter of 2008, more than 2 million netbooks were sold, which is a serious part (more than 7%) of the total sales of computers and laptops for the same period: 27.9 million. with ACER, they pocketed 80% of the market - for example, in Asia, their huge advantage is integrated 3G communication modules, which allow to sell even more devices to the buyer.

However, these are all flowers on the background of forecasts: a twofold increase, in comparison with the current state, before the end of the year. Ahead of the holidays, and if chipmakers and netbook manufacturers manage to tense up, they can easily sell 50 million computers in the last three months of the year.
