Remember the
story of the PORSCHE CAYENNE S ?
It looks like several more offices are going to join Porsche Russland. :)
The German BMW AG demanded that Russian customs ban the importation of products bearing the company's logo without its permission. The corresponding letter was sent to the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia.
')
“We propose that the FCS prohibit unauthorized legal entities and individual entrepreneurs from importing products bearing the BMW logo,” RBC was told in the Russian representative office.
The interlocutor of the agency clarified that the company's products meant cars, spare parts and all products bearing the BMW logo. However, he noted that individuals would not be concerned.
The press service of the FCS declined to comment on the information about the letter BMW, but noted that the BMW trademark was registered in the registry of the FCS in September 2008. Accordingly, according to Chapter 38 of the Customs Code of the Russian Federation, the customs authorities will monitor the importation of products of this company.
According to experts, the actions of the Bavarian concern are aimed at combating "gray" imports. At the same time, according to the newspaper Kommersant, the letter to the FCS was also signed by the representative offices of Japanese companies Nissan and Toyota. At the same time, the publication reminds that the Russian courts have repeatedly taken the side of unofficial dealers. So, on September 10, the Moscow Arbitration Court refused to confiscate a batch of Honda and Nissan branded auto parts, contrary to the demands of customs officers and official dealers of Japanese companies. Similar decisions regarding Toyota parts have recently been handed down by the courts of the East Siberian District.
