Bloglines solved technical problems

Bloglines , a popular RSS aggregator, has announced that all technical problems with the RSS crawler have been resolved. Now this service returns to us in a normal form and will again compete with Google Reader, as before.

In the past few weeks, Bloglines has experienced serious technical difficulties with updating RSS feeds. Because of this, the owners of such feeds recommended subscribers to upgrade to Google Reader. The popularity of the latter has increased significantly over this short period of time. However, in such an important market segment as RSS aggregators, competition is especially important, so the news about the return of Bloglines is good news.

Over the weekend, Bloglines developers made the necessary update and now announced that the service will work like a clock. According to them, the problem was quite simple and related to the processing of feeds, which give an error when indexing, after which the crawler did not process them. On Saturday and Sunday, all such feeds were processed manually and should be indexed normally in the future.
