Arduino Duemilanove

image

Continuing the tradition of difficult to pronounce Italian names, the site arduino.cc presents Arduino Duemilanove (“2009”). This is the latest revision of the basic version of the Arduino USB-board, replacing Diecimila. Duemilanove automatically selects the appropriate power source (USB or external adapter), eliminating the need to swap the power jumper. This version also allows you to cut the automatic reset jumper or solder it back to enable auto reset. Despite the difficult to pronounce name, this Arduino remains as easy to use (non-Italians can safely call this revision “Arduino 2009”).

The release of the Arduino Duemilanove coincides with the beginning of the release of the book Massimo Banzi " Getting Started with Arduino " by O'Reilly.

The Duemilanove version will replace Diecimila with distributors in the coming weeks.
