Public domain zone INFO is intended for posting information about something: about an individual, organization, product, service, etc. Today, the number of second-level domains in it exceeds 5 million. The INFO zone has a very low security level. According to research by specialists, 11.8% of domains in it are a threat to visitors. Especially noticeably their number increased over the last year (from 7.5%).
In order to correct the situation developing in the INFO zone, its administrator changed the management policy. Now all fraud will be prosecuted, including phishing, spam, malware distribution, participation in the creation of botnets, etc. First, the problem will be reported to the domain owner, after which the latter will be removed from the DNS or information about the fact of violation of the law will be transferred to law enforcement. Representatives of the administrator declare that "the policy involves the use of a modernized system of detection of criminals and the further use of coercive measures."
