On the other hand, the Contractor (web studio, freelancer), which the Customer hires, has all the competencies (to one degree or another), but has his own interest, which conflicts with the interest of the Customer. Very often the interest of the Contractor is reduced - to make at least the maximum profit.
In this situation, when there is a so-called “information asymmetry” (see the help below), the Customer often loses quality, exceeds the project budget or breaks deadlines.
The theory of information asymmetry (Nobel laureate in economics George Akerlof) says that it is beneficial for a Separate Contractor to deceive a buyer because of the asymmetry of information - usually the Customer is less competent than the Contractor. However, selling a couple of low-quality projects under the guise of quality, he will lose the trust of the buyer, and his wealth will also fall.
Thus, it is beneficial for the Customer to eliminate the lack of information (and what do independent real estate appraisers do?) How to do this?
Partially, the problem is solved if you hire an independent competent project manager or consultant.
