Iomega has announced the launch of its new product, the Iomega StorCenter ix2, a networked storage system designed for use both in the office and at home.
The StorCenter ix2 is two SATA-II hard drives plus a mini-PC based on EMC LifeLine software (a special Linux software package and service applications), with a 400-megahertz processor and 128 MB of RAM. Included - Gigabit Ethernet port, two USB and EnergyStar- "approved" power adapter.
Iomega offers two StorCenter ix2 models. A volume of 1 TB and 2 TB. This joy is worth $ 300 (for a terabyte model) and $ 480 for a 2-terabyte storage. ')
