jQuery and Nokia

Among the noise raised by the news that Microsoft will include support for jQuery in its studio, the information that another Nokia giant is also implementing jQuery support was quietly passing.

It is reported that jQuery will be used as part of the WebKit-based Web Run-Time platform and will become part of all Nokia phones that include Web Run-Time. Also, jQuery will become part of the widget platform and it will be possible to create widgets for Nokia phones using jQuery.

While there is no information about whether changes will be made to include versions of libraries. It seems that both Nokia and Microsoft will use “as is” in their jQuery products, that is, without changes.
