I think everyone has already seen the
story with the user of WebMan . In the afternoon, we were confident that this comrade independently registered at the time a handful of virtuals, pumped them up and began to use them for their own selfish purposes. So, we were wrong.
At the end of the working day, after several hours of investigations, it turned out that the overwhelming majority of the detected virtuals (of which, by the way, turned out to be no less than a hundred and fifty), are in fact never virtuals, but ordinary users who are to blame except that protected your account with an overly simple password (123456, qwerty, etc.). All (well, or almost all) of these accounts are now in quarantine and will be unlocked only upon a request from the true owner at support@habrahabr.ru. In response to a request, we change the password on the account and send the owner a letter with a notification asking to change the password. After this procedure, habrayuzer can use the account as usual. This is somewhat inconvenient, for which we ask for forgiveness, but otherwise nothing. Your safety is more important to us.
In connection with all this,
we ask you all not to use simple passwords , as in this case we will not be able to guarantee the security of your account. Now on the selection of a password on Habré is protection, so brute force will not work, but it will not hurt anyone to be safe.
Thank you all for your understanding and once again we apologize to those who temporarily lost access to their account.
