Crisis and media

Here everyone is discussing the financial crisis and complain that the media stubbornly refuse to cover this issue on television, on radio and in the press.

Half of my friends-tape LJ is replete with abusive messages addressed to the central TV channels, Nosik and Lesniy have already spattered everyone around, trying to convey the truth to simple single-celled ones.

Only now maybe I'm wrong, of course, but if the media were actively covering the crisis - what would have come out of this? Most of our compatriots are completely illiterate in financial matters, and the first step after receiving information is to go and cash out all the money. That is, prematurely withdraw their savings from banks. For those banks that are currently suffering from a liquidity crisis. And then no stabilization package, issued by the state to the first echelon of banks, will not be able to help when the entire population incurs to withdraw money. The banking system will finally collapse, the demand for goods will fall, and this will lead to losses in absolutely all areas of services and production.

Isn't it easier to just “push” our illiterate population aside, like little blind kittens, so as not to get in the way and muddy water, and let the problem be solved by whoever can?

If I'm wrong, correct me. I am the same woodpecker in economics and finance, like the rest of our country.
