The company PizzaHut made a rebranding, but forgot about the domains.

PizzaHut temporarily changes its name to PastaHut in order to promote its new pasta menu and 9 restaurants in England have already changed their name. The company has registered the domain pastahut.co.uk but forgot about the domains pastahut.com, pastahut.net, pastahut.info and pastahut.org.

Domains pastahut.net, pastahut.info, pastahut.org and in some other domain zones were registered by cybersquatters and are now in the parking lot.

The situation with the pastahut.com domain is slightly different, the owner registered it 8 years ago. And apparently now it's time to cash the check. Pizzahut most likely will not be able to prove a breach of ownership of the trademark and take away this domain from the owner by legal means, since the domain was registered many years ago.

According to the latest reports, Pizzahut plans to invest over $ 180 million in its rebranding. It is strange that with such a scope, the company's marketers forgot to pay attention to the domain market and invest several hundred dollars in domain names to protect their brand.

Domain industry will receive its regular reproach in cybersquatting, and another company will have to spend its resources on litigation and the purchase of already occupied domains.
