So I decided to tell you about our project. Its essence is the videophone in the Internet. The product is called VZOchat. Currently, about 500 thousand users.

The first with which VZOchat is compared is Skype, the second with various video chats, etc. I will immediately answer these questions. Skype is a great guys and they have a great product, but it is sharpened for another. The purpose of Skype is IP telephony, and in this guise it is beautiful and unsurpassed. But as soon as it comes to video, architectural constraints immediately appear (p2p is not very effective for distilling video streams, because it is expensive and unpredictable) and the codec used is also not so hot. We can say one thing about video chats - they are all implemented on flash technology and therefore are slow and resource-intensive.
Now we are actively working to make the user interface more convenient. Porting applications to various platforms (first of all - Linux, Mac, Symbian).
Where to apply such a product? I think that the application is limited only by fantasy. The most simple options:
- meetings and meek operational meetings
- communication with contractors / freelancers / customers
- acquaintance through the Internet, etc.
- seminars, tutoring, etc. (why not? :) )
- playing cards or chess :)
- video user support service
- Any other activities where you need to collect from several people to reputable audiences of 100-120 people ... Yes, at least to organize presentations of start-ups, ideas, etc. Why not? Mode 2x120 people is quite suitable for this.
But there is no better way to understand this than to set yourself this program and talk on the video with a friend / colleague / customer. Better 1 time to see! ;)
