Gmail allows you to receive the rss stream from the headers of new letters. But not in the way it can be done for the Google calendar, via a secret address, but through server authentication.
Thus, software readers, like FeedDemon, can receive such streams if the login and password are specified in the feed settings. A native Google Reader does not know how, since such settings for the stream is not provided. How did Google overlook this possibility of integrating its products?!?
