I often use a 3D printer in my work and often try something new. I came across the technology of printing matrices and casting them. I was interested in it and I decided to try this method of small-scale production.
For the implementation of the plan is very useful:

I want to make a reservation right away that such a sprue system is suitable for “long” plastics, whose lifetime is about 20-30 minutes. If the lifetime is 2-5 minutes, then the item should be positioned horizontally.
Based on the model with the gating system, we can easily and naturally get a matrix. 3D model of the matrix.

But, here it is right to pour right away, it is necessary to prepare a matrix. The first thing to do is to perform the illumination of the matrix (so that the polymerization is completed). The second is to process the matrix with a separator. For this, I use Blue WAX.
Well, that's all, collect the matrix.
And pour plastic.
We are waiting for about 10 minutes. It is during this time that plastic fills the entire cavity.
Once filled, put the matrix in the autoclave. Inflate it to 6 atm.
After polymerization of the material. Extract the matrix and open it.
We see that there is a burr at the junction of the matrix, but this is not very critical, because its thickness is extremely small and is literally removed with the touch of a finger.
