Today I received a letter reminding you to renew the domain rada2007.com. Exactly one year passed, the patient is more dead than alive (after another year he transferred here ). I remembered how this site was created, how I tried to promote it in a short time, in order to be in time for the elections, how I wanted to make money from advertising ...

Before the elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine remained 3 days. Suddenly, the thought came to launch a website with graphs demonstrating the process of counting votes. Let me remind you that in 2004, and later in 2006 (re-election of people's deputies), the counting lasted several weeks, the data were constantly refined, people were watching the numbers, constantly visiting sites that show current results. But according to the data that was published everywhere, it was difficult to imagine how the situation would develop further. I decided that the site, which reflects the dynamics of the counting of votes and receipt of protocols from different regions, will be interesting to people. And if so, then you can earn on advertising. In theory. :) Immediately make a reservation, did not build any illusions about earnings. It was rather an experiment.
For three days, I still managed to finish all the functions that I wanted. The last 2 days did not sleep at all, but I did. The data were collected automatically from the CEC website, parsed, added to the database, and all the necessary graphs were built. Hung up a runner ad, advertised on political forums, left links in comments to political news. Traffic went , money began to drip for advertising clicks, I finally slept fine. :) But advertising revenues did not even pay for the domain. A few days after the decline in attendance, the advertising platform was turned off. If I had invested more thoroughly in the promotion, then, most likely, the financial losses would have been greater. Still, 3 days is terribly little to earn money on such a project, but it is quite enough to launch it. Q.E.D.
