On the night of October 3, official sales of the long-awaited communicator iPhone 3G began in Russia. It could be bought at the points of sales of the three largest operators in Russia - Megafon, Beeline and MTS.
It is already possible to sum up the short sales results - in Moscow, about 1500-2000 iPhones were sold for the night, in other smaller cities. But I think that it can be said that during the night around 20,000 - 35,000 thousand handsets were sold throughout Russia.

The MTS offer turned out to be the least profitable, the price for a phone can reach 33,000 rubles for an 8 GB model. The situation with subsidized phones is not clear, i.e. with phones whose price is gradually paid along with payment for communication. It seems that MTS has such tariffs, but you have to pay almost half the cost of the phone anyway. Nothing is clear yet.
Beeline has everything exactly - phones of 23,000 and 27,000 rubles for 8GB and 16 GB, respectively. As for the subsidized phones, I don’t know, I didn’t recognize.

MegaFon has the best of all - phones of 22,000 and 25,500 rubles. There are subsidized tariffs, in which the price of the phone ranges from 49 (!!!) to 8499 for 8GB and 2999 to 11999 for 16 GB. Tariff plans are quite profitable offered in conjunction with the phone, unlimited unlim 3G and Wi-Fi, SMS and minutes package. On the tariff plan A you can connect, provided that you have an iPhone 2G. So if someone needs tariff A, but you have an old iPhone, you need to come to the sales office with him and you will be connected to tariff A. It should also be clarified that the iPhone will have a separate access point called iphone.
