Today I want to tell you about the artificial language. Do not grimace, not Esperanto. Esperanto is just a club of interests, a marker “I am an intellectual”, and not the first freshness. The language we are going to talk about today is built on a completely different principle and with completely different goals. And the most important thing is that there are only 120 words in this language, moreover, most of them are similar to English, French, Russian, and there are only about a dozen grammar rules in this language, practically no spelling, punctuation and pronunciation rules. Learning vocabulary and grammar takes one day off or several times eight hours on weekdays (from where and when to get them, don't ask;))
Toki Pona (toki pona) was developed at the beginning of the 21st century by Canadian linguist Sonya Helen Kisa. Toki is “language, speech”, and pona means “good, kind”: accordingly, Tokipona is a “good language”. According to the author, the language is not intended for international communication. This is a scientific and philosophical tool. Toki Pon was created as a playground for fervent experiments with the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis that language determines thinking and world view. If in the mythical Orwellian society, people quietly blocked freedom with the help of the Newspeak, if in our ordinary world you could create a modern hypocritical language of the media with all sorts of “peacekeeping operations”, “developing and developed countries”, “girls of easy virtue”, etc. Is it possible to create a language based on simple concepts, focusing on good, peace and harmony? Will a person speaking good language become kinder?

Toki Pona is a mental exercise that is always at hand. Universal toy for the intellectual. And still Tokipona is a mockery. Rude and blatant mockery of generally accepted criteria of intelligence. After all, this is the easiest and most complex, most stupid and most intelligent language at the same time. You can learn this language to “read with a dictionary” level in half a day, and then devote half your life to perfecting it. And the main mock is not even that. The sharp irony of the Tokipons is that in the end we understand: it is not much poorer than other languages ​​in comparison with the endless palette of our experiences. We are trying to say “ gray lop-eared dog ” or “ sit on a bus, not a trolley bus ” in Tokipone, but we are equally tortured trying to pass it to a friend in our native Russian, how good it was to us to star, but still warm August night to stand still on the bridge on the lake for fifteen seconds and listen to the silence, and then breathe deeply and lift your head up to admire the pleiad. We mumble " was wonderful " or " oh, so good! ”Or“ n * dato ”, but in essence ... is it not the same pona , just in more elaborate clothes?
