Wiktionary
defines the concept of "geek" as "an expert in the technical field, most often in computers." But addiction to computers was added to this definition only a few years ago, when they began to capture the minds of techies around the world. Before that, any eccentric who has a craving for improving his life due to various technological gizmos could be called a geek. For example, Doc Brown from the movie “Back to the Future” remained a geek both in the 1880s, and in the 1950s, and another 50 years later, remarkably doing so with improvised means.
Today this concept is becoming wider again. The current technolyub can no longer keep his interest on the glands alone and the ways to get them to do cool things on the monitor screen. After all, there is also: electronic gadgets, hydrogen engines, crazy startups, string theory, friendfied, social networks, blogs, twitter, Web 2.0, damn it! Semantics, micromechanics, folksonomy, biotech, Spore, life hacking, Wiki, after all, the Higgs boson! And there is so much more in this world, outwardly almost unconnected, but united by one thing in common - all this is what can make our life simpler, clearer, better. And maybe happier.
Therefore, together with the editorial office of the Akzia newspaper, we want to ask you, Dear Khabracheloveki:
do modern technologies make your life better ? And will they save this world?

The most interesting opinions will be included in the next issue of the newspaper, the topic of which will be devoted to the culture of geeks.
And by the way, Bill Gates was published in the “Promotion”. And did not even ask for money. Because he does not need.
