The registration of the participants of the ninth and last Yandex Search Cup is open .

Yandex held the first open Russian Cup on Internet search in April 2001. In July 2003, the rules and methodology of the competition were published. Since then, about 80 search competitions have been conducted in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Israel, Norway and the United States under a Yandex license.
