In response to the release of the nVidia 59-dollar GeForce 9400 GT video card, AMD announced the release of two video adapters, which are even cheaper. It's about ATI Radeon HD 4550 and ATI Radeon HD 4350, which cost $ 55 and $ 39, respectively.

The ATI Radeon HD 4550 will come with 512 MB of DDR3 video memory, and the HD 4350 will have 256 MB of DDR2 onboard. Despite the low cost, the characteristics of video cards are not so bad. Both products support DirectX 10.1, equipped with HDMI interfaces supporting eight-channel audio (7.1). ATI CrossFireX technology is also supported.
The performance of new products remains to be tested (soon enough tests will appear). But in theory, the cards should work no slower than the GeForce 9400 GT. Still, they have 80 stream processors, four texture units, and the memory and processor frequencies are 600/1600 MHz (HD 4550) and 600/1000 MHz (HD 4350). Completed new 55-nm process technology.

It is noteworthy that both cards consume no more than 20 watts.
