Eee Storage "in pictures"

To use “Eee Storage”, you need to activate this service - http://yostore.net/member/active/ . And for this, respectively, you must have an "Activation Code".

Here is what is said on this at yostore.net:

“You can find the account activation code on your Eee Storage in the User Guide included with your EeePC.

For questions related to your account activation code, contact the nearest Asus customer service department for help. ”

I did not have this code in my “User Manual”, and of course I didn’t have any desire to go to the department of ASUS for a special code to get some virtual space in the network.

')

But as it turned out, no one had this code, the fact is that “Eee Storage” was launched after the release of 901 and 1000 (H) models, and accordingly the “first lots” simply could not be completed with any codes. In the ASUS 'forums for users' questions about the required “network gigabytes”, the support service answered that they can connect to the Eee Storage without an activation code, you just need to install the “Eee Storage Utility for XP” program and use it to register your Eee PC account.

From the title it is clear that "Eee Storage Utility for XP" is designed for XP, and the Vista version is not expected yet.

And since I practically installed Windows Vista right after I bought the Eee PC 1000H, I haven’t remembered Eee Storage until recently.

“Playing” and reinstalling various images of MAC OS X, using the DVD recovery for a couple of hours, I returned my Eee PC to its original XP position and registered to “Eee Storage”.

It's very simple, you can download the utility from here:

After unpacking and installing this utility, a new “Eee Storage” tab will be added to Windows Explorer.

When you first start and before registering with Eee Storage, the Setup Your Eee Storage Account Information Information icon will be available.

Check in.

After registration, you can familiarize yourself with “Account Info”, I was given 10GB of online space. From the information yostore.net: "10GB or 20GB is provided depending on your Eee PC model."

In the "Application Center" you can download small flash toys, several video clips and a dozen images.

And here it is, the online hard disk "Web Storage".

After registering with Eee Storage using the Eee Storage Utility for XP utility, using your username and password, you can use the Eee Storage service on any other computer.
