Good time, gentlemen.
I appeal to you in my personal blog with a request to consult on the issue of copyright. It will be about our favorite audio player foobar2000 and custom builds. Who knows, that at first it is not easy for a player to set up a player for himself even for a geek. A lot of plug-ins, their own scripting language and all sorts of options for tuning the interface contribute to this problem. To overcome all such troubles, our enthusiasts create various assemblies of an already configured player, by downloading which users get the opportunity to enjoy maximum functionality, or to choose an interface for their system.
Our Russian-speaking community has been in existence for three years, during which we have created maximum comfort for users, providing all sorts of materials on foobar2000 and giving the opportunity for assembly authors to share their creations on the forum.
In the very first year of their existence, they encountered the fierce rejection of the author of foobar2000, Polish programmer Peter Pavlovsky, the concept of assemblies. We removed the assembly from our server; assembly authors leave only references to their works. Just two days ago, we
received information about the next statement by Mr. Pavlovsky about assemblies and our community as such.

Please share your opinion on the current situation in the context of Russian legislation. The link to the foobar2000 license is
http://foobar2000.org/license.html . Last time, the author threatened to write a complaint to the hoster, and as you know, hosters usually in such situations do not really understand the demolished account. Backups are prepared, but somehow not in itself anyway. In addition, according to the author, we are license violators, pirates.
Assembly authors do not receive any money, no one earns on a free player - that would be blasphemous. Everything rests on the sheer enthusiasm and interest of users.
