Yandex. Photos for Windows Live Photo Gallery

Similarly, our plug-in for Picasa , it saves all the meta-information when loading, it writes the name and tags automatically. While it is impossible to establish access rights for publishing (always public) and size of uploaded photos (always in original size).

As I wrote in my blog, one of the interesting features of the new version of Photo Gallery is the automatic recognition of people in photos. A similar feature is in the new beta version of Picasa 3, but in the offline client it is almost useless - it simply filters the photos where people are supposed to be. Fully feature only works in the web, PicasaWeb.
In Windows Live Photo Gallery, this feature works completely on the client, and information about found characters is available to extensions.

In future versions of the plug-in, it is planned to add an automatic tagging of people based on this information in Yandex. Stock albums. There is such a function, but now it works only manually, for each photo separately.
