YouTube got rid of 30 thousand Japanese videos

The popular YouTube video resource had to delete 29,549 video clips at the request of the Japanese media corporation that claimed copyright infringement, the Copyright Organization in Tokyo told Reuters.

An initiative group representing 23 Japanese organizations, including television networks and film companies, turned to YouTube to take steps to block the illegal distribution of files. Representatives of the Japanese group in an official statement reminded Internet users that they are breaking the law by posting copyright-protected files.

According to Reuters, many copyright owners complain that YouTube refuses to track the legitimacy of the receipt of files, because it works with more than 100 million video files per day. YouTube representatives have not commented on the incident
