A Soviet émigré, and now an Israeli entrepreneur, Eli Reifman
began producing mobile phones that closely resemble the Apple iPhone, both in design and performance. The phone called “Edelweiss” (Edelweiss) is equipped with a GPS module, works in 3G networks, has a touchscreen with a diagonal of 3.5 inches and a resolution of 480x854 (in Apple iPhone 3G - only 320x480). The phone will come with a memory capacity of 8 and 16 GB.
Interestingly, the company Raifman
Emblaze Mobile is not going to limit the business to the Promised Land, and plans to export to other countries. True, so far only in Russia. Already in March, "kosher iPhones" may appear on the shelves of ION communication salons.
By the way, Russia will become the first country in the world to sell this unique development in every sense. The start of deliveries of “Edelweiss” is scheduled for March, and already in August Israeli businessmen are preparing to release the next model “Monolith” (Monolith). They are confident that almost half a million phones can be sold on the Russian market. In particular, for the year they plan to sell at least 150 thousand Edelweiss and 300 thousand Monolith (for comparison, the “big three” Russian telecom operators plan to sell 3.5 million iPhones in two years).
The new phone will work under Linux. The company's website
