Yandex still retains leadership over Google in the Russian segment of the mobile Internet
The latest report from Opera Software, Mobile Internet Status,
reports that Russia remains the leader in the number of Opera Mini users. Russians are fully using the Internet on their mobile phones, checking emails on the go, chatting with friends on social networks, and playing online games using the Opera Mini, which is fast and easy to use. Also, residents of Russia still prefer Yandex search system, rather than Google, which remains in third place in popularity after vkontakte.ru and mail.ru. While large sites attract a lot of attention and traffic, smaller sites collectively collect more users.
“In most countries, people visit a wide variety of websites,” said Jon von Techner, CEO of Opera Software, “a large number of websites of various kinds prove that people who have full Internet access via telephone will use it as well as on their personal computers. Russians prefer to have instant access to a full Internet, and Opera Mini is the best solution in this case. ”
