Ridiculous thought about Apple

Quite by chance a ridiculous thought occurred to me:
How do you think what would happen in the world if Apple would suddenly release flash drives?
So nice to the touch, with a glossy surface. Perhaps they would have painted a cherished apple, which would be an indicator (would glow like on laptops), and on the back side, in a rectangle with rounded corners - volume (like on iPods). And also a small, modest inscription “Made in China”.
Do you think all the other manufacturers of flash drives would just viciously smoke aside? ;)
