The search function is implemented in 3 ways:

Search by artist

The results of which are the artist's page, where the data was taken from Last.fm, but submitted in a slightly different form.

After a while, I added a page with artist albums to the rating of the artist’s tracks and added the playlist function. The truth from the playlist is now confusing a little, but soon you can download the entire playlist in one archive, which, I think, would be good.

Search by song

This search is on the database of my site and contains both songs from the site Vkontakte, and from some sites of the RuNet and the Internet. It is organized with the help of a good search engine Sphinx, which I learned from my favorite habr.

Now it is used as the main search. But here I decided to make life easier for users. Unlike all similar projects, I tried to ensure that before the conclusions of the results, they were processed. Songs with the same name and size are deleted, and if the size of the song or the duration is different, the results are grouped.



But such a process takes a lot of time, so I’ve done that initially only the first 20 search results are processed, and if you don’t like the results, you can click on the link under the results “in-depth search”, after which not a single song will be skipped. .

You should get used to the design a bit, because The output design is slightly different from other sites, but this is done only in favor of ergonomics.

PS If during a search query, press the Enter key, instead of clicking the search button, the search will not be on the database of VKontakte, but on the basis of my site.
