In each area there is a monopolist portal. Already, everything is moving in this direction - facebook, myspace, VKontakte. For many, the Internet consists only of classmates.
In the future, a person will immediately know where to go - listen to music, find a boyfriend or girlfriend, leave a resume or make business contacts. And, over time, each such space will develop its own logic and navigation.

The Internet is just a way to access services. And each service is in itself a microcosm.
The browser is an operating system to launch Internet services.

If before the Internet was placed in a single space, then further it will inevitably be divided into huge icebergs.

Separation

Simultaneously with the huge icebergs plowing through the network, many nanoworlds will appear. Not everyone will want to equip their corners inside the ready-made services, but will create their own independent schooners.

The disadvantage of this Internet is that the network will no longer be publicly available. Most visitors will be happy to use major services, while the underground will live their lives.

Censorship and any Internet governance by corporations owning these services will be possible. For example, the Internet can be narrowed down from the general information space to access only to the main services.

This utopia-dystopia just a couple of steps.
