Brevity - sister: expanding the useful space in Firefox

I use Firefox. A matter of habit, love of settings for their interests, speed and other features made me love this browser a few years ago. I also sometimes use Opera, Safari and Maxthon , but today we’ll talk about fire fox and how to get the most out of it.

I want to share with you a little trick that will expand the usable space in your Firefox. If you have a 30-inch monitor, then this article will be more entertaining, the rest I ask for cat.

Usually in Fox, the upper bar is occupied by the main menu, the second one contains the address bar and the search bar, and the third one - the main tabs. In general, this is convenient, but if you want to save space, you can fit all three lines into one .

This is what my top bar in Firefox looked like.
')

To change this appearance, we need several plug-ins, hands growing from the right place, and 10 minutes of precious time.

Instruments

To get started, download the three necessary plugins. The first is the Menu Editor . This is a very useful add-on that allows you to edit almost all the menus available in the browser. Including the main menu.

The second is the Stop-or-Reload Button . His main task is to combine the “refresh” and “stop” buttons.

The third optional, but very useful addon is “ All-in-One Sidebar ”, it groups the most used buttons and panels in the left side of the browser.

Go

First of all, after restarting the browser, we set up the main menu . To do this, in the settings of the Menu Editor, select the item “ Help ” and remove the check mark in front of “Visible”. Thus, we reduce the main menu by exactly 1 point. I don’t think you often use Firefox Help. Optionally, you can also remove or put together the remaining items, but this may not be very convenient.

Next, right-click on the empty space near the main menu and select " configure ". If you have installed any add-ons that added their buttons on the panel near the address bar, you can move them to the left panel (where All-in-One Sidebar appeared).

I removed the " home " button, and moved all the panels into one line. Then two empty panels were turned off by removing the check marks opposite the “navigation bar” and the “bookmarks bar”. In the end, I got such a nice strip that includes everything you need .

One more?

If the hand trembled and any necessary element was removed , you can return to the standard settings by clicking " Configure → Restore ".
