Graduates of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from Verdasys offered an original, in their opinion, method of protecting valuable information on a PC from various kinds of hard-to-find Trojans, keyloggers, sniffers and similar devilry. The essence of the method is to use your own utility package, which will “crawl” into the system deeper than any malicious program, and will be able to keep a secure communication channel, even when the computer is already hopelessly infected.

Verdasys SiteTrust package intends to distribute through OEM-channels. For example, along with a set of software that banks provide to their customers. In this case, at the moment when the client enters the page of his account in the Internet banking system, SiteTrust launches a copy of the browser, as a process under its control, separating important transactions from other data streams. SiteTrust removes all user-entered information directly from the keyboard and encrypts it.

In the current version, SiteTrust works only on Windows with Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers. Versions for Mac (Safari) and Linux are getting ready for release soon.

The developers of the package themselves do not deny that the lion's share of their efforts in the future will go to a permanent race with a criminal thought and fight for a place in the depth of the system.
