Auchan LED Bulbs

In the hypermarkets Auchan appeared lamps of its own brand Auchan. I bought all the lamps that were on sale and tested them.

Almost all Auchan lamps come in two color temperatures - 2700K (warm white light) and for some reason 5000K (something between neutral and cold white light). G9 capsular lamps have a color temperature of 3000K.

The luminous flux of the lamps was measured with a Viso Light Spion instrument, the power consumption of a Robiton PM-2 instrument, the color rendering index, color temperature and pulsation with a Uprtek MK350D instrument .
')

Unlike most Russian manufacturers, the European manufacturers, to which Auchan belongs, always strictly monitor that the luminous flux of the lamps corresponds to the declared one, and for some of the tested lamps the measured luminous flux (the amount of light that the lamp gives) turned out to be significantly higher than the declared one. The equivalent of incandescent bulbs is also listed with a large margin.

The color rendition index is not indicated on the lamp packaging (CRI, Ra). According to the measurement results, it was 81.5-85.7 and this is good - it is believed that CRI should be at least 80 for residential premises.

But with the pulsation of light, everything is not so good. Pears, G45 balls and GU10 spot lamps have practically no ripple, 33-33% ripple in candles and are visually distinguishable, 44% of the G9 capsule lamp, 44% of GU5.3 spots (all of them are for 230V) -75% and this level of pulsation is very uncomfortable.

All lamps, except for 3-watt spots GU5.3, work correctly with switches that have an indicator (do not flash and do not light up when the switch is turned off).

The table shows that all lamps without pulsation contain a pulsed driver, and lamps with pulsation - linear. The brightness of the lamps with the linear driver directly depends on the voltage in the network and the candle lamps lose 10% of the brightness already at a voltage of 224 volts.

On the packaging of all lamps, a voltage range of 220–240 volts is indicated; in fact, lamps with pulse drivers can work stably without reducing the brightness from much lower voltages, this allows them to be used where the voltage in the network is unstable and can decrease dramatically (for example, in rural areas ). The pulse driver stabilizes the voltage, so the brightness of the lamps with such a driver will not abruptly change with changes in voltage in the network.

The manufacturer claims the lamp life is 15,000 hours and gives a 1 year warranty.

Lamps Auchan with a linear driver (candles, spots GU5.3 and capsular G9) is better not to buy, but I recommend lamps Auchan with a pulse driver (pears, balls G45, spots GU10) for purchase.
