Do not call me

It seems we almost beat SMS spam. It's time to fight advertising calls! The solution should be simpler than RosSpam, we decided.

The application RosSpam for complaints was a good solution, but:

1. Not everyone wanted to specify in the application their personal data (although they are nowhere, except for FAS and were not transmitted);
2. For many, a complaint is not the best way to resolve the issue.

Of course, the application recently we added the ability to complain about advertising calls. But there is a better solution.

In Western countries for quite a long time there are registries of those who do not want to receive advertising calls - the so-called Do Not Call Registry .

It is quite simple: you do not want to receive promotional calls - add your number to the registry. No personal data such as your full name is needed - just your phone number. The one who makes advertising calls must exclude phones from the registry from their call lists.

“Why are we worse?” - we thought and created our own “ Do not call! ” Registry. According to Wikipedia , 72% of Americans have entered their phones into their registry. Whether 72% of habr-visitors will add their phones to the list? Check - poll below.

But still, we are worse. In America, the obligation to exclude phones from their registry is spelled out in the legislation. We have this, alas, no. But we have the Federal Law on Advertising , Article 18 of which prohibits both the sending of SMS spam and the implementation of promotional calls. For SMS-spam is punished with a fine from 100 to 500 thousand rubles (see examples in the RosSpam twitter ). For calls - a similar punishment.

PS The site is not working so far. In particular, everything is very bad in the iOS version (if someone can help fix it, let me know, please).
