Pebble smart watches untie from cloud sync

Short, but good news for those who are fans of Pebble smart watches!

As many remember, the company was recently bought by Fitbit . Since then, the news from them was not much. But the day before yesterday, the company announced in its blog about plans for the support and future of their devices. The latest update completely untie Pebble from cloud services so that devices can be used even after Fitbit disconnects servers.

When you run the application on your smartphone, the authentication phase will be skipped, but you can still install firmware and programs through it. The application will be able to configure alternative servers for downloading programs. Or, as before, the program can be downloaded via a browser and installed offline.

The application for iOS can be updated in the App Store, and Android users can be updated through the channel of the beta versions of the application. The release for Android on Google Play will be a little later.
