Intel Optane DC P4800X - the world's first SSD with 3D XPoint memory

Officially announced the release of the first SSD , equipped with memory chips 3D XPoint . The P4800X series initiator has a capacity of 375 GB, made in the format of a PCI Express drive. Later, larger drives, as well as SSDs with a U.2 interface, will join this model.

The speed characteristics of the new model are impressive: over 500 thousand IOPS when reading 4k blocks and the same when writing, the delays during operations are no more than 10 μs. The stated endurance is 30 overwrites per day. The price, as everyone understands, also did not work out a little - 1520 dollars. However, it should be expected that after debugging technological processes it will be reduced.
