Plarium Kharkiv office: here we develop games



Helipad, solar panels, 800-pound robot, Harley-Davidson, trampoline, Motion Capture studio, cinema, interrogation, staff chef, yoga instructor and hand barn. What of this really is in the studio Plarium Kharkiv - look under the cut.

The company was founded in 2009, and the current office of Plarium Kharkiv exists since 2011. The first room of the Kharkov studio looked like this:

We started with games for social networks, continued the portal for browser projects. Now we are actively working with the mobile direction, cooperating with Google, Unity and Facebook.

Gradually, the number of employees in Kharkov increased. We moved to another room: we took the 8th and 9th floor and connected them with a slide, which seemed to be nothing steeper.



Is that the entrance to the office. All newcomers welcomed the "Morgan" - our fingerprint access system.



Then we began to grab the floors higher and got to the 12th. There, besides workplaces, there is a gym with custom Italian equipment and a yoga room, which from 10:00 to 18:30 is used as a meeting room.





Black color prevails in the office, but there are also many bright cozy places with sofas, armchairs, a white grand piano and Harley-Davidson.















And, of course, a lot of negotiation for teams of any size. This one is made from a real sea container and is dedicated to our game “Conflict” (Soldiers Inc.):







The cinema is the most capacious and therefore the most popular meeting room during business hours. In the evenings and on weekends, staff can use it for video game tournaments and watching movies. In the office you can invite friends who do not work in Plarium.



When the studio Plarium Kharkiv occupied 5 floors, we had only one kitchen. We decided: if we finish building a new one, then on a large scale - with a spacious terrace and working space for our own chef.









On warm days on the terrace, lunch is tastier, the coffee is more aromatic and the work is more productive.



You may already be familiar with the barnacle from our underground parking.



A year ago, he had a reliable comrade - a robot from our game “Total Domination”. It weighs 800 kilograms and speaks 3 languages: Russian, Ukrainian and English.



Something like this created new characters for our projects. 2D and 3D artists freely embody ideas in 9 settings. Our specialists control all the stages of creating a visual style of the game: concept art, high- and low-poly models of characters, environments, objects and game props.











Specialists from nine technical departments use .NET, C #, JavaScript, Unity, AngularJS and another 33 technologies to release 3,500 game updates per year.











On the roof of Plarium Kharkiv there is a studio Motion Capture. Here, experienced animators, artists, and VFX experts add a bit of Megan Fox, explosions, monsters, and dragons to our marketing videos and cinematics.









Now a recording studio is being built in our office, and a new AAA RPG is being developed on almost all floors. Further more!
