We are often asked about which 3D printer a child can buy, and this question has always put us at a dead end. there was not a single model that could be 100% advised, and finally such a printer appeared. At the end of last year, TierTime released an updated version of their favorite UP 3D printer! mini - UP! mini 2. This 3D printer can truly be called a homely, compact design in Apple style, no noise and smell due to the closed case and the built-in HEPA filter, automatic calibration, simple and intuitive software, high print quality and the ability to use various types of materials makes this printer unique in its own way.

Kinematics. The mechanics of the printer did without any major changes.
Extruder visually became more massive.
At first I thought, “Wow! It is not printed! ”, But no). I was deceived by the beautiful sticker on the end. The extruder and some of the elements inside the printer remain printed.
The printer can calibrate the height of the table itself. On the table there is a plate with a magnet in which during calibration the printer is poked with a nozzle.
Inside the case there is now a carbon filter, exactly like in the big brother - UP! BOX. Thanks to it, there is no smell when printing ABS or it is insignificant when printing with particularly odorous species.
Included with the printer are 4 sites. 2 with perforation, probably already become a visiting card UP !, and 2 with a special coating.
Although, of course, the printing results will be more eloquent than any words (everywhere a layer of 0.15, filling 13%, speed - normal).
To the surprise of the blower was enough. And only the insidious little ship "floated" a little in the stern. We expected worse results.
For PLA printing, we shot the top panels. They are mounted on magnets.
And on the extruder opened blowing.
I do not even know what was more useful - open the airflow or remove the top panels.
And of course we drove the printer spec plastic.
