Let's start the presentation of those who replaced the SNR-CPE-W4N with its closest “relative” with the same name. However, the new version of the SNR-CPE-W4N router is very different from its predecessor, both in its appearance and in its filling.


The compact case of the device (173x118x175 mm) will not cause inconvenience in the placement, both at home and in the construction of an office network. The top cover of the case is made of white plastic with a lacquered finish. There are no fingerprints or scratches on the case, and dirt is easily erased. In the middle is the SNR logo.

SNR-CPE-W4N is equipped with two external antennas with a gain of 5dBi, which ensures a sufficiently large coverage area of ​​the Wi-Fi signal with stable data transmission inside it. The router supports IEEE 802.11b / g / n standard and MIMO2x2 technology. This allows you to achieve data transfer at speeds of 300 Mbps. The device is stuffed on the basis of the MT7620N chipset used in many modern Wi-Fi routers.

The router is great for subscribers connected to the IPTV service. Supports Multicast, IGMP Snooping, and Multicast-to-Unicast. Isolation of multicast / broadcast traffic allows you to achieve high-quality IPTV even on Wi-Fi clients. There are much more possibilities here, since the router can operate in two frequency bands 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz simultaneously at the highest speeds - up to 733 Mbit / s. Such opportunities are provided thanks to the support of IEEE 802.11b / g / n router and 2x2 MIMO technology, as well as 802.11a / ac.



The device's dimensions of 187 x 143 x 35 mm make it possible to place it without affecting the office or home space. A large coverage area and stable signal operation is ensured by the presence of two 5dBi antennas.

Dual band support allows not only to use a more free 5GHz frequency for data transmission, but also to implement a scheme in which the wifi router acts as a wireless client (APCli mode) at the same frequency (for example, 5GHz) and access points for end devices on other (for example, 2.4 GHz). Software

The firmware of both routers is based on Wive-NG-MT software. This is a further development of the software for routers of the new budget chip from Ralink / Mediatek MT7620. Wive-NG-MT is an embedded operating system designed specifically for the NAG.

Customization

Especially for telecom operators, a flexible set of customization offers has been developed. Any router can be “sharpened” for a specific operator. Changes can be made as with the appearance of the device. For example, prepare your own box with the colors of the operator.
