Google Chrome stopped trusting WoSign and StartCom certificates

As previously reported, Google Chrome has blocked certificates WoSign and StartCom.

Today, a new version of Google Chrome 56 has been released, and since it has started, the browser no longer trusts WoSign and StartCom certificates released later on October 21, 2016 00:00:00 UTC .

When visiting a site with such a certificate, an error is displayed:

 NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID 

Although the system itself considers certificates valid.

If your services still use free certificates from WoSign or StartCom, you should seriously consider switching to Let's Encrypt .
