The developers promise a system for automatically backing up files hosted on Slack channels on Google Team Drive. It can also be used as the main synchronized file storage.

The most important update for teams working in Slack and Google Docs will be the ability to preview the document directly from the messenger, without switching to the browser.

All the features described will be available in the first half of 2017. According to the developers of Slack, this is only the first wave of integration innovations that users expect.
