Startup Competition at Investor Day BlogCamp 2008

The acceptance of applications for the start-up competition at Blogcamp CEE 2008 , which will be held in Kiev, is already working. The flow of applications went great, in a hurry to be in time. We specifically moved away from the standard and divided the competition into two parts: Seed Stage (funding requirement 50-150 thousand euros) and Early Growth Stage (funding requirement 500 thousand - 1 million euros), so we decided to give very young startups the opportunity to take participation in such an event, usually they can not compete with already formed. The competition is held in accordance with the principles of the Silicon Valley Open Doors (SVOD) competition. More details about the rules can be found on the contest page. As experts and judges, we decided to invite people from three groups - angels (private investors who invest small amounts), funds and consultants who work in this segment (marketing, PR, bizdev, lawyers). According to the geography of the jury, they tried to cover the region of Central and Eastern Europe, but we already have evidence from France, England, Norway and Sweden. Of course, the main participants will be from Russia and Ukraine.

The main prizes at the moment is a trip to REDD, now we are negotiating for the provision of travel grants. If it works out, the winners will go to the largest venture business conference in Mecca of the Silicon Valley technology business.

Here is a list of experts who give a preliminary assessment and select 5 finalists in each category:

PARTICIPATION IN THE CONFERENCE is COMPETITIVE FREE , as is customary with the barcamp format.
Always glad to see other investors!
