For seven years, Digital October has existed as a platform where representatives of the technological, business and educational environment meet, as well as business events.
On February 18, the
Digital October Education Center educational project starts at the site.

In the Education Center program:

- Short educational programs (1-2 days);
- Long courses (2-4 months).
Main themes:
- Blockchain;
- Scrum / Agile;
- BigData;
- Biotech;
- CyberSecurity.
The first of the courses starts intensively, dedicated to the blockchain technology, which was prepared jointly with our platform Waves.
Participants of the
event , scheduled for February 18 and 19, will be able to understand the principles of the functioning of the blockchain technology and learn:
- Apply technology in practice (for example, to transactions in the registration and processing of transactions);
- Attract investments and create a primary user base;
- Plan business development taking into account the advantages and disadvantages of using blockchains;
- Monitor the blockchain ecosystem (users, key players, regulators, etc.);
- Build a business in a new technological paradigm;
- Use the potential of blockchain to solve problems in any industry.
The best students at the end of the course will receive tickets for the
BlockShow Europe 2017 conference, which will be held on April 6, 2017 in Munich, for free.
The curator and teacher of the course is
Alexander Ivanov , a graduate of the Faculty of Theoretical Physics of Moscow State University, the founder and CEO of the Waves blockchain platform.
By June 2016, within the framework of the Waves crowdfunding campaign, it was possible to attract funding in the amount of 29,445 BTC, which according to the exchange rate at that time was more than $ 15 million.
Using the platform, project founders can attract collective investment, in parallel creating a primary user base capable of testing a particular project.
