Large Hadron Collider underwent a hacker attack

The hacker group, which calls itself the “Greek Security Team”, replaced part of the pages on cmsmon.cern.ch, hackers posted a text in Greek entitled “GST: Greek Security Team”. In addition, hackers damaged one of the CERN files.
However, hackers made it clear that they no longer intend to interfere with the work of the site. According to them, this action was undertaken to indicate security vulnerabilities. "We took off your pants now, so as not to see you naked in the future, when the real panic begins," - says an ad left by crackers.
The CMSMON system, which hackers tried to gain access to, controls the operation of the compact muon solenoid (Compact Muon Solenoid, CMS) designed to track data during collisions of elementary particles in the LHC accelerator.
The breaking of the CERN network occurred on Wednesday, September 10, when the first proton beam was launched through the LHC accelerator tunnel 27 kilometers long.
It is noted that the work of scientists hacking the site did not hurt.
