Transformers notebooks of the YOGA Book series have become a real discovery of the IFA 2016 exhibition. This is one of the few devices that has two versions with different operating systems - Windows 10 and Android. But the touch keyboard Halo Keyboard from the first show causes a lot of controversy.
Lenovo's branded hinge design immediately hints at the accessory of the YOGA series laptop. But she knows how to give a tactile response and is able to learn. Key illumination only works when you need to type text. The rest of the time, the matte multi-function panel with anti-reflective coating (also known as the keyboard) can be used as a touch panel for drawing.
The demonstration of drawing possibilities was impressive - a cartoon artist painted all comers, of course, with the help of the YOGA Book. Practically it looks like this: a sheet of paper is placed on the keyboard panel and the image is applied to it using the Real Pen stylus. The stylus is able to simultaneously write and ink on paper, and produce graphic information on the screen. For the transmission of images, electromagnetic resonance technology (EMR) from Wacom is used. The panel recognizes 2048 options for pressing the pen and allows the pen to deviate to 100 degrees.
Laptops are equipped with the Book UI interface that works with both Windows and Android. It provides work with several applications in separate windows. Windows can be moved, scaled and in every possible way to adjust for themselves.
Both versions are equipped with IPS-display size of 10.1 inches with a resolution of Full HD (1920x1200 pixels). The heart of the devices is the Intel Atom x5-Z855 processors, integrated Intel HD Graphics 400 are responsible for the graphics. The LPDDR3 RAM is 4 GB, the main drive is 64 GB flash memory. Laptops support work with microSDXC memory cards up to 128 GB.
Naturally, there is a full range of wireless connections: 2G / 3G / LTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 a / b / g / n / ac), Bluetooth. YOGA Book works with nano SIM cards and supports 4G networks.
