In early August, a
thousand fresh photos appeared on the
site of the HiRISE telescope, which is standing on the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter Mars probe. And if, when viewed from afar, Mars appears to be uniformly red or orange, then near it looks like a much more diverse planet.
There may be a lot of olivine (a mineral widely distributed in igneous rocks). Even in natural colors, the spectacle is interesting.

And if you connect the infrared channel, it becomes even more beautiful.

The ravines in the dunes, natural colors.

Crater on the Hesperia Plateau, added infrared channel, artificial colors.

Again the dunes, here, surprisingly, natural colors.

Something has recently fallen here, artificial colors.

Deposits in the Night Maze (natural colors).

The ravines (natural colors).

Plot of chaos Atlantis (artificial colors).

"Spiders" (gas geysers) - natural colors.

A virtual walk through Mars is, I think, a great lesson for Friday nights. I remind you the
photos here .
